Bank of Baroda has launched the “bob Aspire NRE Savings Account”, designed to simplify the transition for Indian citizens moving abroad. With this innovation, customers can open their NRE savings account while still in India, ensuring seamless access to NRI banking from the moment they begin their journey overseas, reported ibsintelligence.com.

The account, launched with a digitally forward and customer-first approach, can be initiated in India in “inoperative mode” and becomes fully functional once the customer provides proof of overseas address along with a passport carrying the immigration stamp confirming NRI status.
